I told you I love to bake!
But I hate cancer. Agree?
My happy place may be my garden, but second place is either making or eating scrumptious homemade cake. As a member of Bake Club (yes, the first rule of Bake Club is to not talk about Bake Club, so I WILL be in trouble with Bake Club Towers) I help various charities to raise funds for important causes. One that I support is Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care
Our community supported us to reach our highest fundraising total this year, which is remarkable considering the limits on people’s time and money due to the continuing pandemic. We hosted a CAKE AWAY selling a box of homemade goodies for ten pounds a box, and made a whopping £2400 for the charity. Join me in the fight for cancer care, and plan your Coffee Morning or Cake Away for Macmillan next year. It’s easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
