Dear Dee and Ali
Thank you again for the most enjoyable and informative session we had with you on Friday . The people there, really enjoyed it and learnt a lot  and were inspired by what you have done . You made it entertaining and interesting and I will definitely recommend you to others .
Thanks for the handout you sent us, too Dee.
We wish you both every success in the future and we would love you to come back to tell us how Leo’s second story progresses .
Thanks Jill x

Knutsford Bunny Hop Prize: A copy of our new book Leo’s Ladder

I am pleased to help the wonderful committee who work tirelessly for the family fun event in Knutsford on Saturday 20th April 2019. Children can win a copy of Leo’s Ladder, a book featuring Knutsford scenes.

Colouring page for fun!

Ali Holah creates beautiful images and has created this colouring page for children. What a fun way to engage with Leo and his search for the ladder’s owner.

The story, Leo’s Ladder, is about a boy who finds a ladder BUT he really wants to keep it.  A finders keepers dilemna.

This page is available at The Tea Room on King Street in Knutsford as well as a free download here!

Getting Ready for World Book Day!

World Book Day in the UK is coming soon!   Thursday 7th March 2019

When I was teaching in primary schools, the excitement of World Book Day  instilled the love of reading to the children, parents and teachers. I could hear parents talking at the gates about dressing up ideas, and sharing book ideas. Children would be introduced to new books and characters throughout the week, either by their parents, friends or teachers.  World Book Day is a great chance for teachers to share their favourite stories and to introduce other staff members to new books.

Well, Leo’s Ladder is a brand new book with a charming story. We’d love to share it with you!My illustrator Ali and I have limited availability that week. Please contact us soon to arrange for a visit to your school, playgroup or club! We love to see the reaction of our readers of Leo’s Ladder! As a former teacher, I am ready to spend the morning or afternoon working with any class from R-Yr6 on writing skills.

Wilmslow Guild stocks our book!

I am trying (key word here) to improve my art skills and have been attending Nick’s art class at the Wilmslow Guild for 2 terms now.
When I shared my book with Nick, he very kindly showed it to the staff at the Wilmslow Guild They very kindly featured Leo’s Ladder in a news item on their website. Read more here:

The shop in the lobby sells  Leo’s Ladder along with products made by other students of the guild. This is a great time to grab a handmade piece of jewelry or artwork. Prices are incredibly reasonable for one off pieces of work.

If you want to know more about the Wilmslow Guild, please look at their website. The variety of courses is amazing! I have taken classes in  jewelry making and art for all. Getting together with others with similar interests is always good for my mood and happiness.  Making something to me is a mindful activity and so relaxing.

Colouring page for fun!
